Walt Disney World has announced the return of THREE very popular dining experiences, coming VERY SOON!! I take it as a VERY good sign that things are opening up, and now is the PERFECT time to book your vacation today! Contact me and I will get you all set up!!
Up first, dinner will be returning to Chef Mickey’s! Located in the Contemporary Resort, Chef Mickey’s is traditionally a VERY popular buffet, featuring table-side visits from the “Fab 5” dressed as, you guessed it, Chefs. Upon reopening, though, things have been different. Currently, you can only visit for breakfast, and there is no longer a buffet or table side greetings and hugs from Mickey and pals.
Now, you get all-you-care-to-enjoy family style servings and safely distanced character interactions. And beginning May 16, you will also be able to have all-you-care-to-enjoy DINNER with the “Fab 5,” with bookings opening up THIS FRIDAY!!
Character dining is returning to Animal Kingdom!! This is the one I am MOST excited for, because Tusker House is one of my most favorite restaurants in the parks. We don’t yet have a reopening date, other than “this summer,” but, as with other buffet locations, it will reopen with family-style entrees inspired by the flavors of Africa. Donald and friends, dressed in their safari gear, will be wandering the restaurant for socially distant waves and selfie opportunities!
And finally, Cape May Cafe will be reopening over at the Beach Club offering Breakfast and Dinner. Unfortunately, at this time, characters will not be returning to Breakfast, nor will the buffet. Via Disney: “The all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style breakfast is a great way to fuel up for a day of fun and adventure at Walt Disney World Resort. Indulge in popular items like Assorted House-Made Pastries, including “Lobster Tail”—layered, crispy pastry filled with pastry cream—Omelets, Slow-Roasted Beef Hash, and of course, Mickey and Minnie Waffles.
Or enjoy the feeling of escaping to an oceanside town in New England while you savor a delectable dinner. On the menu are House-Made Parker Rolls and Corn Bread, Seasonal Harvest Salad, the Seafood Boil, the Turf Platter and Assorted House-Made Desserts. The Seafood Boil boasts a variety of fresh seafood, including shrimp and clams, and the Turf Platter features steak and chicken. Available for an additional fee are Alaskan Snow Crab Legs (per pound) and Whole Lobster.”
This dining experience will be opening May 18, and you will be able to start making reservations THIS FRIDAY, May 7, 2021. Which experience are you most excited to try? Do you need a trip booked? Contact me here to get started!!!
