Breakfast at Walt Disney World 2021

Let’s talk FOOD! Food is one of my favorite parts of Disney trips, and breakfast is my favorite meal. Sure, there’s not really anything too earth-shatteringly special about it, I just love breakfast. Unfortunately, with limited capacity, there aren’t currently a lot of table service breakfast spots open. Here’s my list of the best available table service breakfast locations available (with a “these are exceptionally delicious” quick service breakfast spots thrown in at the end.

1. Kona Cafe

I’ve written about Kona Cafe before, and you can read about it here, but I think it is currently the best option available. The food is great, the location is awesome, and did I mention Tonga Toast?

Kona Cafe is located on the second floor of the Polynesian. Reservations are accepted and strongly recommended, but they do accept walkups through My Disney Experience. Breakfast is served from 7:30-11:00 am.

There is also an option to mobile order Kona Cafe To Go through My Disney Experience.

2. Trattoria al Forno

Located on the Boardwalk, Trattoria al Forno is the VERY CLOSE second best option available for breakfast. In the before times, you could see Rapunzel and Flynn, and Ariel and Eric for breakfast here, but characters are currently unavailable and the menu is slightly different, but it is still amazing. Look at those pancakes! This is a great breakfast option for Hollywood Studios or EPCOT days, as both parks are within walking distance, or the Skyliner at International Gateway is just a short walk away.

Reservations are accepted and, again, strongly recommended, but there is also a walk up list. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 11:30 am, and there is a mobile ordering option through My Disney Experience for Trattoria al Forno To Go.

3. Topolino’s Terrace

This is the first character meal on the list, as you can socially distance visit with Mickey and Friends! This is a prix fixe menu, and the meal begins with pastries for everyone to share.

Located at the new Riviera Resort, this restaurant is located at the top of the resort and offers incredible views. Step outside and take a look around!

Reservations are accepted and, again, strongly recommended. Walk ups are available on a limited basis, and breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 12:15 pm.

4. Whispering Canyon Cafe

All-You-Can-Eat breakfast skillets. Words that are music to my ears. Whispering Canyon Cafe is located in the main lobby of the Wilderness Lodge, and every meal features these incredible skillets. I highly recommend eating SOME MEAL here!

Again, reservations are accepted and strongly recommended. And, again, there is a walk up list available via My Disney Experience. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 11:00 am.

5. Grand Floridian Cafe

This place is commonly completely overlooked because of it’s proximity to 1900 Park Fare (which is, admittedly, one of my absolute FAVORITE locations), but that is currently closed, so GFC is getting extra attention. They serve American classics, like steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, and MICKEY WAFFLES!

Reservations accepted and strongly recommended, with the walk up option available via My Disney Experience. Breakfast is served 7:30 am – 11:00 am.

6. Ale and Compass

We’re headed back to the Boardwalk, to visit the Yacht Club. Ale and Compass is a popular stop, and it’s easy to see why. Dark chocolate waffles, caramel apple french toast….mmmmmmmm.

Reservations accepted and strongly recommended, and the walk up option is there. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am – 11:30 am, and there is a mobile ordering option available via My Disney Experience from Ale and Compass To Go.

7. Chef Mickey’s

Located at the Contemporary, and formerly a buffet, this now family-style breakfast features Chef Mickey and his friends. It is a very popular meal, and it’s become even harder to get reservations because of limited availability, so you definitely want to get reservations.

There is a walk up option via My Disney Experience, but it doesn’t last very long. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 12:30 pm.

8. Cape May Cafe

Our last table service stop is back in the Boardwalk area at the Beach Club. Another location that used to have both characters and a buffet, when this location reopens on May 18, it will feature a family style meal. Personally, I’m just happy it’s reopening!

Reservations are strongly encouraged, and breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 11:30 am.
