There is A LOT happening with Disney Destinations these days. And, with only 11 days to go, Walt Disney World has a lot of new offerings available to enhance your magical vacation. Let’s take a look at the latest and greatest!!!!
50th Anniversary Special Offerings for Walt Disney World Resort Guests
The World’s Most Magical Celebration is set to kickoff October 1, and there are signs of it’s beginning daily. Beginning October 1, 2021, ALL guests of ALL Walt Disney World Resorts will be able to have extra time in all of the parks! Guests can enter all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks 30 minutes before all other guests. Get a jump on the big attractions and spend less time in line! And for those guests staying at a Deluxe Resort, there are 6 dates in October that will grant you two extra hours at night in either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. On October 4, 11, and 18, enjoy EPCOT from 10-12. On October 6, 13, and 20, enjoy the Magic Kingdom from 9-11. Also, be on the lookout for your favorite Disney Characters decked out in their new EARidescent Outfits roaming around the resorts!
Disney Harmonius and Disney Enchantment Fireworks Shows Set to Start October 1!!
DESSERT PARTIES ARE BACK!!! With the kickoff of Disney’s newest nighttime spectaculars, Walt Disney World Resort has announced the return of dessert parties!! There will be 6 offerings for a unique way to view the fireworks.
Up first, Celebration at the Top! This will take place at the Contemporary in the Sonoma and Napa Rooms of the California Grill, and will be $129 per person. It will feature specialty drinks, canapes, sushi, and small plates, with several items paying homage to original menu from 1971. You will then go out to the observation deck on the 15th floor, where you will be able to watch the all new Disney’s Enchantment fireworks show from the Magic Kingdom. After the show, you will then enjoy petit-fours, cordials, and coffee. The California Grill dress code will be enforced. This offering begins October 2, 2021, and reservations opened on September 17. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance.
Next, the Magic Kingdom will once again offer pre-party and after-party dessert parties. The price of these offerings are $99 per person for adults, $59 per person for children ages 3-9. For the pre-party, you will start with dessert at Tomorrowland Terrace before being escorted to one of the plaza gardens for an amazing view of Disney’s Enchantment. Folks seeking the after-party will check-in at Tomorrowland Terrace one hour before the fireworks, where you will be escorted to one of the plaza gardens to see the fireworks. Then, following the show, cast members will then escort you back to Tomorrowland Terrace for dessert! These parties begin October 3, 2021, and reservations opened on September 17!
Finally, Enchantment Treats and Seats will begin October 3. This party runs $114 per person/$69 for children ages 3-9. You will have a seat in Tomorrowland Terrace where you will be able to see the fireworks while dining on delicious dessert offerings. Reservations opened on September 17.
EPCOT will be premiering a brand new show called Harmonious. We have been waiting for a LONG time for this one! There are 2 exciting new ways to catch this show at EPCOT.
Up first, the Rose and Crown Fireworks Dining Package. Dine under the stars on the patio at Rose and Crown in the United Kingdom Pavilion. Running $89 per person/$39 per child ages 3-9, this new offering will be a Prix Fixe meal. You will receive one appetizer, one entrée, dessert platter, and unlimited beverages. You will be seated on the patio while you dine for a front row seat for Harmonious. This event will begin October 1, with reservations available TODAY! September 20!!
Not a fan of Rose and Crown? You can also catch the Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package. You will be seated in an outdoor, covered dining area themed like Morocco. They specialize in small plates, including grilled lamb kefta, house-made hummus fries, and spiced chicken. For $72 per person/$31 per child ages 3-9, you will receive 2 small plates, dessert platter, and unlimited beverages.
Steakhouse 71
Over at the Contemporary, which will also be celebrating 50 years, stop by the 1st floor and dine at the all-new Steakhouse 71! This restaurant will open October 1, with reservations already open, and will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner! eakfast will offer everything from fresh-baked pastries and avocado toast to Walt’s prime rib hash and eggs Benedict.
WHAT AN AMAZING DINNER MENU: Guests can customize their steak entrée. They will also offer fish, chicken, and more. And for dessert? How about the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake? 15 layers of whiskey-infused chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and raspberries. One layer for every floor of the Contemporary.
Space 220 FINALLY Opens!
After what feels like forever, Space 220 is FINALLY open at EPCOT. The entrance to the ship that takes you 220 miles above Earth (wink wink nudge nudge) is right near Mission Space. The restaurant opened September 20 for walk-up only. Also beginning today, September 20, you can make reservations beginning September 27.
Serving Lunch and Dinner, the menu will be Prix Fixe. Lunch will feature a TWO course menu, while dinner will feature a THREE course menu. You can also get some out of this world cocktails and mocktails!

RISE OF THE RESISTANCE IS MOVING TO A STAND-BY LINE
Beginning September 23, Disney has announced that in Hollywood Studios ONLY, they are pausing the virtual queue system and allowing guests to wait in a stand-by line for the FIRST TIME since Rise of the Resistance opened in 2019!
