October Cruise?

Are You Wanting a Disney Vacation for Fall Break but Worried About the Crowds? Try an October Cruise!

Look, I get it. October is my absolute FAVORITE time to head to Walt Disney World. But the week of Indigenous Peoples Day is WAY crowded! Like, we waited almost 2 hours for a bus to Saratoga Springs from Magic Kingdom crowded. Once again, that week is Fall Break for a ton of states. Usually, this leads to wall-to-wall people in the parks. So, why not consider an October Cruise instead?

You may not get to go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but Halloween on the High Seas is its own incredible event that you may even find better than the party!

I’m MOST excited for this! Check out this amazing new character meet-and-greet opportunity! Clarabelle Cow, Minnie Mouse, and Daisy Duck will be dressed up for the first time as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus! HOW COOL IS THIS?!?!?!

The centerpiece of every ship during Halloween sailings is the signature magical Pumpkin Tree towering over the atrium lobby, each with sprouting Jack-O-Lanterns and flickering lights.

But aboard the Disney Wish, guests will witness the debut of an all-new Pumpkin Tree in the “Cinderella”-inspired Grand Hall. This enchanted tree that grew perfect gourds with the help of a Wishing Star at night produced the perfect pumpkin that became the coach that carried Cinderella to the Prince’s Ball.

What’s Included in a Disney Cruise?

What’s Included?!

Disney Cruise Line is basically an all-inclusive on the sea. More activities, dining, and entertainment is included in the base price of your cruise than in any other cruise line. And this means you will have LESS to pay once on board. To start, almost all of the ship’s entertainment is available at no cost. This means Broadway-quality shows, movies, including first-run movie screenings, fireworks at sea, and your favorite Disney characters. But you will need to pay extra for premium experiences. Things like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Pirates League, or the Royal Court Tea.

What about dining experiences? 24-hour room service, rotational dining in three unique dining rooms, unlimited soft serve ice cream, unlimited coffee, tea, and soda, and quick service bites throughout the ship are all included in the cruise price. You will only need to pay extra for Adult-exclusive dining, bottled water, alcohol, and specialty drinks.

Kids Clubs, including the Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab, for children aged 3-12, Edge, for children aged 11-14, and Vibe, for teenagers aged 14-17, are all included, and supervised, for your kids to go off and enjoy a taste of freedom! Also, nightclubs, lounges, live music, adults-only pool and whirlpool, and the fitness center are all included for adults!

Disney’s Castaway Cay
October Cruise

Castaway Cay offers a family and adult-exclusive beach, all included. You will also enjoy access to beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, too! And that’s not even mentioning your barbecue lunch, unlimited soft serve ice cream, coffee, tea, and soda! Also, free tram transportation from the ship to the beach.

Castaway Cay will also have live music, your favorite Disney characters, and kids and teens clubs. Again, this is all included in the price of your cruise. You do not have to pay for ANY of this. Maybe you’ll choose to enjoy the walking paths around the island, or take part in the Castaway Cay 5K and receive a finisher medal, or take an adult-exclusive yoga class.

Snorkel gear, floats, and rafts; book Port Adventures; or rent bicycles for additional fees. Bottled water, alcohol, and specialty drinks are also available for an additional cost.
