Disney Adults (and even Kids) can Attend This Exclusive Experience at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! Let’s Look at Sangria University!
Everyone is always looking for new things to try, right? Well, there is always something to do at Walt Disney World, even outside of the theme parks! Enter: Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! This is a GREAT activity for Disney Adults!
The Basics
Sangria University will teach you the history of Sangria, and how it has evolved into what we know it as today. At the end of the lesson, you will get your turn to make the 4 varieties served at Three Bridges Bar and Grill, located at Coronado Springs, followed by a tasting with a light appetizer. The price is $59 per person, and that includes tax and gratuity. You will prepay at the time of booking. And, of course, make reservations via My Disney Experience up to 60 days in advance.
This event takes place only on Saturdays and Sundays, and takes approximately 90 minutes. Guests are encouraged to check in at least 15 minutes before their reservation time, so be sure you give yourself enough time to get to Coronado Springs!
Why Should You Do This?
Personally, I am constantly on the lookout for new experiences for every vacation. Sangria University is a great option for Girls’ Trips, Bachelorette Parties, and other Disney Adults outings. For $59, you get to try 4 different types of Sangria after you learn how to make them. Also, you get an appetizer of chips and guacamole.
Once you arrive at Three Bridges, you will be seated in the open-air patio, and given fruit, cinnamon sticks, juices and a stirring spoon. You will use these tools to make your delicious Sangria. Additionally, you will be served Cava, White, Rose, and Red Sangria, while you settle in to learn the history of Sangria. You will see a table set up with different liquors and wines, that will then be used in Sangria University.
You REALLY Get to Make It!
And not only do you get to make it, you get to take the recipes with you. You may recognize this as the same product available at Three Bridges, but that’s kind of the point! So you will get to pick which flavor you want to make, and even choose to “enhance” it with different flavors. Some options are available for a $4 upgrade charge, too. The teacher will give you time to mix til your heart’s content, and then you get to drink it. Sounds like a great college party to me!
Wait, But What Do I Do With My Kids?
Fun fact: while you need to be 21 in order to drink the wine, you do NOT have to be 21 to take part! If you don’t have anywhere else for your kids to go, but you have your heart set on Sangria University, they can come along. For $59, guests under 21 will be served a flight of non-alcoholic beverages and a light appetizer. Young kids will probably be incredibly bored, though, so maybe bring a tablet and earbuds, just to be safe.
But Is It Worth It?
If you are over 21, this is an incredible value. You will get to enjoy a Sangria tasting, chips and guacamole, and relax in a fun environment. This is a great non-park day activity, especially since it happens on the weekends, when the parks tend to be busiest. Also, if you have any allergies, it is best to notate that when you make your reservations.
