Resort Rundown: Explore the ICONIC Disneyland Hotel and All It Has to Offer!

Do you want to become immersed in the spirit of Disneyland past and present? The Disneyland Hotel is the ORIGINAL Disney Hotel. Stay in the Adventure, Fantasy or Frontier tower—each an homage to the park’s original lands. This resort is located just steps from the Downtown Disney District. And, as a bonus, it’s just a short stroll to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Why Choose a Disney Resort?

Well, thanks for asking! There actually are perks involved for guests that stay on-property at Disneyland. For starters, all Disney resort guests get into the parks before regular day guests. In addition, you can once again have packages sent from stores to your resort. And finally, in your Disneyland app, you’ll be able to charge to your room, check into your room on-line, and use a digital key to get into your room!
Room Types

For starters, there are your standard hotel rooms. These come with a standard view, deluxe view, premium view, and premium Downtown Disney view. These rooms all sleep up to 5. These rooms come with your standard amenities, like wifi, mini-refrigerator, satellite tv, in-room safe, coffeemaker, and more.
Club-Level

Club-level rooms are located in the Adventure Tower and have views of either of the Never Land Pool, Downtown Disney, or the theme parks. As you would expect, the views from these rooms are among the best at Disneyland Hotel. The E-Ticket Lounge is located on the 11th Floor of the Adventure Tower.
Guests of the club level rooms have access to the E-Ticket lounge. Here, guests can have a continental breakfast daily from 6:30am – 10:00am. That’s right, it’s FREE, and included with the club-level room. In addition, there are snacks from 11am-4pm, wine and cheese from 5pm-7pm, and cookies and desserts from 8pm-9:30pm. Guests also get a nightly turndown service and assistance from the concierge staff. And finally, catch the nightly fireworks from the E-Ticket lounge!
Suites
The Disneyland Hotel also offers suites, and they can hold larger groups and/or families! You can choose from a variety of 1-,2-, or 3-bedroom suites that sleep 4-14!
Signature Suites
But wait, there’s more! There are 5 Signature Suites, all with a different theme, and these are absolutely incredible!
Adventureland Suite 2-Bedrooms, Sleeps 5

Pirates of the Caribbean 2-Bedrooms, Sleeps 4

Fairytale Suite 1-Bedroom, Sleeps 2

Big Thunder Suite 2-Bedrooms, Sleeps 6

Mickey Mouse Penthouse Suite 2- Bedrooms, Sleeps 4

What are the Dining Options?

The Disneyland Hotel has a lot of great dining options, and it is only steps away from Downtown Disney. Goofy’s Kitchen is a table service restaurant with breakfast and dinner. And it has characters! This was one of my favorite meals during our entire Disneyland trip! Highly recommended!
For quick service dining, delight in Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar and Grill! This poolside dining location also features mobile ordering, as does The Coffee House. And finally, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar!
Recreation

The Disneyland Hotel has 2 pools: the E-Ticket Pool and the D-Ticket Pool. The E-Ticket pool is a 4,800 square foot pool perfect for everyone to play and relax. The D-Ticket Pool, by comparison, is great for people looking to swim laps. There are also 2 monorail slides! Make a big splash from the approximate 25-foot-high, 180-foot-long Red Monorail slide or enjoy a more relaxing splashdown atop the 13-foot-high, 80-foot-long Yellow Monorail slide. A 2-lane mini slide designed for smaller children also spills out into a small pool, while pop jets, fountains and a surging waterfall add to the fun. This nostalgic water play area is topped by a “Disneyland” sign reminiscent of the park’s classic years.
Final Thoughts
The Disneyland Hotel is a bucket list item for a ton of people, and for good reason. The three towers are perfectly themed and the headboards are absolutely iconic. While on the pricier side, this hotel offers a huge amount of Disney Magic to enhance your trip. Built in 1955, this is the absolute OG Disney Hotel!
