Get to Know the Disney Wonder, Disney Cruise Line’s Second-ever Ship!

No matter where you sail to, or whether you’re traveling by yourself or with kids and grandparents in tow, the Disney Wonder offers a magical cruise experience for the young and young-at-heart. Its interiors often reflect Art Deco and Art Nouveau touches that recall the grand transatlantic ocean liners of days gone by, done in a whimsical, Disney-fied way. From high-quality service delivered from the ship’s incredible onboard crewmembers, to jaw-dropping, Broadway-quality musical productions, the Disney Wonder offers an experience perfectly befitting kids and kids-at-heart.
Deck Plans – Kids-Only Spaces AND Adult-Only Spaces!

The Disney Wonder has 11 passenger-accessible decks. Additionally, it even has some unique features, such as the Vibe teen’s club, which is hidden away in the ship’s forward funnel.
You will find most dining and entertainment on decks 3 & 4. The forward end of Deck 3 is strictly for adults. After Hours begins forward of the midship elevator bank and is identifiable by the sharp shift in décor. Head over to the port side of the Wonder for the adult-only enclaves: Azure, a main showroom and lounge home to late-night trivia sessions and cruise staples like the Love and Marriage show; the Cadillac Lounge, Disney Wonder’s automotive-themed base for bourbon, cognac and live piano music; and the English-themed Crown & Fin pub.
Kids Areas
The kids will find their own areas on Deck 5. The Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Kids Club, for kids 3-12, along with the “It’s a Small World” nursery, for 6-months-3, are located in the center of Deck 5. Vibe, for teens 14-17, is located in the funnel on Deck 11. While tweens, aged 11-14, can head to Deck 9 to enjoy Edge.

Recreation

Pools and Water Fun
Enjoy time in Goofy’s pool, for the whole family, and catch a movie on funnel vision! For wee-ones, head to the AquaLab! Huey, Dewey and Louie have done it again: they’ve come up with a deluge of water contraptions meant to drench the entire family. At the AquaLab on Deck 9, these feisty ducks have concocted a series of water-logged experiments. Little ones can play with pop jets, geysers and bubblers amid a 1,800-square-foot recreation space. But like always, the nephews have waddled off, letting young cruisers conduct their very own research amid the lab’s numerous gizmos. Adult supervision is required for children under 16.
The AquaLab offers an exciting double-looping waterslide called the Twist and Spout slide. Riders must be 38″ tall to ride. And, for Adults, enjoy the Quiet Cove Pool. Relax without the kids in peace and quiet!

Sports and Fitness

The Wide World of Sports deck holds fitness and recreational sports activities for all age groups. The massive, open-air area features basketball courts, ping-pong tables and a dynamic environment, perfect for kids, teens and adults in search of fun and fresh air. You can also find shuffleboard and a running track.
And you can head to the fitness center for all your exercise needs, including weights, cardio machines, fitness classes, and more!
Dining

Main Dining
Disney Cruise Line developed the concept of Rotational Dining. Passengers, and their incredible servers, will rotate through three unique restaurants. The best part? These restaurants are included in the price of the cruise. You will choose either early or late seating. In addition, your table number will be the same for each restaurant.
Aboard Disney Wonder, there are three separate dining rooms. These dining rooms have their own unique themes, menu offerings and specialty drinks, and waiters even wear different uniforms for each room. These include Triton’s, the line’s Little Mermaid-inspired restaurant. This restaurant focuses on French cuisine and is the most formal of the three dining rooms.
Next, the Animator’s Palate, an animation-inspired room that starts off in black-and-white and gradually transforms into a world of color and animation. It’s not as technologically advance as the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, but it is charming nonetheless. Additionally, it offers classics like Smoked Salmon Tartare, Pennette Bolognese, and Herb Crusted Pork Chops.
Finally, unique to Disney Wonder is Tiana’s Place. Naturally, this is a creole-themed restaurant patterned after The Princess and the Frog. From the Creole-inspired dishes to the delectable New Orleans-style beignets, Tiana’s Place offers a dose of Southern cuisine in a space that is one of the most attractive restaurants onboard.
Casual Dining
Passengers can enjoy salads, sandwiches and wraps at Daisy’s de-Lites, or snack on pizza at Pinocchio’s Pizza. Additionally, get burgers, hot dogs, and similar snacks at Pete’s Boiler Bites. For a casual alternative to the Main Dining Rooms, enjoy casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets at Cabanas. Or opt for 24/7 room service. Also, for an added bonus, head to Eye-Scream Treats and snack on some tasty frozen treats!
Entertainment

Similar to the other cruise ships, world-class entertainment lives on board the Disney Wonder! Enjoy fireworks at sea, Disney characters, Pirate night, and more! Here, you can also see Frozen, a Musical Spectacular and Disney Dreams, an Enchanted Classic. These Broadway-caliber shows will delight and entertain!
Sail Away
The Wonder can usually be found in Alaska or the Mexican Riviera. But, beginning in October 2023, this cruise ship will start a new adventure. The Disney Wonder will offer Transpacific Journeys. These repositioning cruises will visit places like Hawaii, Fiji, and American Samoa. Then, Disney Cruise Line will have all new offerings. For the first time, Disney will sail in Australia and New Zealand!
