South Africa Itinerary Overview

Cape Town
While in Cape Town, guests will experience some of the most historic parts of South Africa. First, explore the historic prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners served sentences during Apartheid. You will embark on a private tour of Robben Island. Following this tour, you will tour District Six, which chronicles the injustice and racial intemperance dating from Apartheid. Finally, enjoy dinner at Gold Restaurant. So much more than just an African restaurant, a night at GOLD is an immersive experience that will take you on a 14-dish taste-safari paired with traditional Mali puppets and entertainment.
But that’s just the start of your Cape Town adventure! Take the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway to the summit of Table Mountain. Then, you’ll take a privately guided nature walk through Fynbos, one of the world’s most diverse floral kingdoms. Guests will also enjoy a scenic drive to Cape Point. From there, they will take a short walk to Boulders Beach, home to African Penguins. This adventure also includes a unique photo op at the Cape of Good Hope.
Cape Winelands
Visit the Waterford Wine Estate for a vineyard safari and tasting. You’ll stay at Spier Wine Farm, one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. This is home to the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation Center. While here, you will have the chance to interact with eagles, hawks, owls, and vultures. You’ll also get a privately guided bike ride through Spier Farm.

You will also get to experience an authentic South African Braai. A Braai is a unique South African social event where friends and family gather to cook outdoors, share good stories, and a special bottle of wine. This event creates a new and memorable experience for all involved. You will become part of the Middlevlei Wine-making team. You’ll get to create your own bottle of wine and personalized label to take home. In addition, there is an optional Spier History and Heritage Walking Tour available.

Kapama Game Reserve
Experience a private evening game drive in “Big Five” country. Feast on a Bush Braai buffet dinner. Then, follow this all up with a morning game drive safari at first light, when the big cats are returning from a night of hunting. Enjoy a Boma pizza party with a chef and Disney movie night in the “snake pit.” And finally, you will have an elephant encounter at Jabulani.
This experience is 8 nights and 9 days, and the fare includes lodging, internal transportation, and 17 meals. You will stay at the Table Bay Hotel, Spier Hotel, and Kapama River Lodge.
