Disneyland is certainly magical all year round, but there’s certainly nothing quite as magical as the holidays at Disneyland Resort! From special holiday-themed ride overlays to unique holiday treats and, yes, even Santa Claus himself, you’ll surely find yourself wanting to visit Walt’s Park! This year, the holiday celebration will start on November 11 and run through January 8, 2023. Here is some of what we can expect!

Disney California Adventure Park

Starting in Disney’s California Adventure, celebrate the Festival of the Holidays! Take in the sights and sounds of cherished holidays, including Christmas, Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day! See entertainment from returning favorites. The Mariachi Divas, Mostly Kosher, the Blue13 Dance Company, Phat Cat Swingers, and the Mistletoes will all be returning. And don’t miss the premier of Tina and the Sounds of Celebration! Another returning favorite this year the Disney Viva Navidad! Street Party!

You’ll get to savor the season at the Festive Foods Marketplace, too! In true Disney Festival Fashion, there will be 9 different kiosks around Disney’s California Adventure Park, each serving different foods of the holidays. You’ll enjoy multi-cultural cuisine and festive wine, beer, and spirits. New this year, the Visions of Sugar Plums kiosk will feature sweet and savory bites! I cannot WAIT to see the Foodie Guide! And, as is tradition at Disneyland Festivals, pick up your Sip & Savor Pass! This pass gets you 8 coupons to use on food and non-alcoholic beverages at the different kiosks!

In addition to “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” character celebration, you will not want to miss the Holiday Toy Drummers. And if you’re looking for the jolly man himself, meet Santa over at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail! And finally, don’t miss “World of Color – Season of Light!”

Disneyland Park

Over at Disneyland Park, celebrate the holidays with food, fireworks, entertainment, and decor! “A Christmas Fantasy” parade returns to Main St. USA! But don’t just watch the parade! The Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Tour returns this year! This specially-guided journey of Disneyland Park tells the stories of Walt Disney and gives unique facts about how Disneyland celebrates the holidays. Then, sail away on “it’s a small world” Holiday!

This two-and-a-half hour tour wraps up with a viewing of “A Christmas Fantasy” parade from a reserved viewing area. Tour guests will receive delicious holiday treats while they enjoy this magical parade, and a commemorative pin! As if this isn’t magical enough, select evenings will feature “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks!

Visit with Santa over in Critter Country, and personally give him your list (which is mostly found in the Emporium!). And over in Town Square, see Mickey, Minnie, and pals in their brand new holiday outfits!

Magical Festive Foods

Let’s talk about FOOD! Because as we all know, I’m only here for the food! Most of the festive holiday offerings will be found over in Disney’s California Adventure Park, at the Festival of the Holidays. At Disneyland Park, you can find the Holiday Grey Stuff (it’s delicious, don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!) at the Red Rose Tavern over in Fantasyland! Head to the Holiday Cart in the Grand California Hotel for the Poinsettia Cookie. (Oh, and then meet Santa at the Disneyland Resort Hotels!) Then, put on your stretchy pants and head to DCA for the food!

  • Grizzly Peak Churro – Peppermint Churro coated with crushed candy canes, then drizzled with chocolate and vanilla
  • Lamplight Lounge – Peppermint Donuts: hot cocoa-dusted donuts with toasted marshmallow crème and peppermint-chocolate dipping sauce
  • Festival of Foods Marketplace Merry Mashups – Esquites Carnitas Mac & Cheese: Esquites-style macaroni and cheese with carnitas, salsa macha, spiced puffed rice, freeze-dried corn, and chopped cilantro
  • Smokejumpers Grill – Loaded Latkes: latkes loaded with brisket, dairy-free horseradish cream, and scallions
  • Sonoma Terrace – Mistletoe Mule: classic Moscow Mule with cranberry juice and agave, garnished with a sprig of rosemary and cranberry
