Let’s Talk About Breakfast at Universal Resorts!

Unless you’re new here, you already know that I’m just here for the food, and that extends beyond Disney! Today, let’s take a closer look at Universal. Specifically we’re talking breakfast at Universal Resorts! No matter which of the eight hotels you’re waking up in — or even if you’re just stopping in before you head out on your adventures — you’ll find amazing breakfast options for everyone in your family.
Universal Studios Orlando Resorts
But first, let’s talk about the resorts at Universal Studios Orlando! There are, officially, 8 Universal Resort hotels. Each of these hotels are right in the heart of the 2 theme parks as well as Volcano Bay and City Walk. With pools, dining, recreation, and free transportation, there’s a hotel for everyone. There are 3 Premier Hotels – Loews Portofino Bay, Loews Royal Pacific, and the Hard Rock Hotel. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is the Preferred level hotel. Next, the Prime Value Resorts – Aventura and Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort. Finally, the Value Resorts are Universal’s Endless Summer Resorts, Dockside Inn & Suites and Surfside Inn & Suites.
Breakfast at Premier Resorts

Trattoria del Porto – Portofino Bay
Featuring family-friendly fare with a touch of Italian charm, this is a casual full-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Choose from a traditional menu or pay a flat price for the breakfast buffet. The choice is yours!
Some popular choices include the Italian French Toast. This is an incredible, sweet treat that includes banana and Nutella — two of my faves. For a unique dish, try the Benedetto, two poached eggs on toasted ciabatta bread served with breakfast potatoes, prosciutto, tomatoes, and pesto hollandaise. This is hearty and delicious and authentically Italian tasting.
The Kitchen – Hard Rock Hotel
Start your day off right, just steps away from Universal Studios Park, with the Breakfast Buffet. And you can add the Rock Star, which gets you unlimited sangria, mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks, along with your buffet.

Not a buffet person? Pick any of the amazing entrées, including the Elvis French Toast. This is of COURSE, baguette slices, bananas, peanut butter and caramel sauce. A guest-favorite! The Remedy (featured above) is the way to go if you need to fuel up before a day of thrill rides: butter toasted kaiser roll, two eggs over hard, applewood smoked bacon and American cheese. And don’t forget to make reservations for the Acoustic Brunch, which happens on Sundays from 10:30am to 2pm.

Islands Dining Room – Loews Royal Pacific
Enjoy modern Pan-Asian cuisine and traditional menu items in a casual, tropical atmosphere. Start with Hawaiian pancakes or this INCREDIBLE Tahitian French Toast L’Orange. Weekends offer all this PLUS a breakfast buffet. Additionally, this restaurant features many vegetarian dishes.
Breakfast at Preferred and Prime Value Resorts
Amatista Cookhouse – Loews Sapphire Falls Resort
Amatista has an amazing buffet with all of the typical breakfast food, like scrambled eggs and bacon, and some special treats, like hot cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy. Everyone in your family will find something to love here, even your pickiest eaters.

Urban Pantry – Aventura Resort
At this food hall, you’ll find a variety of high-quality dining options, unique themes and visual experiences all in one spot. Choose from a rotating selection of international flavors at the roast kitchen, have a custom wok dish at the Asian Station or grab a burger or pizza made fresh right before you.
This spot has all of the classic breakfast favorites you’ll need before setting out for the day. From the All-American Breakfast of eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and biscuit to the pancakes and waffles (with blueberries or chocolate chips as an option!), everything is fresh and delicious. As an added bonus, Aventura is steps away from Volcano Bay!
Bayliner Diner – Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Your classic grab ‘n go food court-style restaurant, with something for everyone!
Breakfast at Value Resorts

Beach Break Cafe – Universal’s Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn & Suites
I have two words: Breakfast Pizza. You can get this amazing creation at Beach Break Cafe during breakfast hours. Imagine taking everything great about a pizza: sauce, cheese, toppings, crust… But transformed into breakfast. Sausage gravy is the sauce and there’s scrambled eggs and bacon as toppings, and it includes not one, but two types of cheese. There are other things you could get for breakfast here, but why?
Pier 8 Market – Universal’s Endless Summer Resort Dockside Inn & Suites
Try the Steak and Egg Quesadilla or the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. The quesadilla is crispy and cheesy and has big, satisfying pieces of steak, so you really feel like you’re getting a hearty breakfast. The chicken and waffle sandwich is a perfect blend of savory and sweet, soft and crispy, salty and syrupy.

There’s certainly something for everyone for breakfast at Universal resorts! Are you ready to book your next EPIC Vacation? Contact me today for your free quote!
