Disney has finally given us the details for Halloween at Disneyland and it sounds GREAT! Plus, Everyone is getting in on the festive fun, including Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort Hotels!

Beginning September 2, 2022, Disneyland Park will again be decorated to celebrate SPOOKY SEASON! You will see seasonal decor, including the iconic giant Mickey Pumpkin. And, of course, Characters will be donning their Halloween best and Disney Villains will be galivanting about! You will want to make sure you stop and get that PhotoPass QR Code scanned!

Haunted Mansion Holiday returns again, to the delight of The Nightmare Before Christmas fans! Catch this spooky overlay at this Classic Disneyland attraction in New Orleans Square. At night, Halloween Screams, which features villainous tunes, projections, and lasers, will return to the skies to delight in all it’s Spooktacular Magic! And on weekends, Halloween Screams will also have FIREWORKS!! Plus, you’ll want to catch specialty treats and snacks throughout the parks, too!

Beginning September 9, guests can head to a number of gift shops and purchase their map for Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit! For $9.99, you will receive a map, and go on the hunt for decorative pumpkins! Once it is completed, you will return it to one of the shops and pick up your SPOOOOOOKY prize! And be sure to take in the decorations at each hotel and all around Downtown Disney!

California Adventure will be joining the fun, too! Radiator Springs will be transformed to Radiator Screams to celebrate Haul-o-Ween! Here, you can see the Cars all decked out to celebrate, and take in all the decorations around CarsLand!

Even the Cars are big fans of Haul-o-Ween, and their rides get spooky overlays, too! Take in Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-o-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, beginning September 2! When you head out of Radiator Screams towards Avengers Campus, you might notice a change to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Join forces with Rocket, as you race to rescue a Guardian during a darkened Monsters After Dark.

Celebrate Halloween at Disneyland at Oogie Boogie Bash!

Get those costumes ready, because this Halloween party has frightfully fun tricks and treats for all ages. With the purchase of a separate ticket, you can attend this amazing party on select nights in September and October at Disney’s California Adventure!

The parties will take place from 6:00pm – 11:pm, but you will be able to enter California Adventure as early as 3:00 with your event ticket. There is a limited capacity for these events, so it will seem like you have the park to yourself!

First up, TRICK OR TREAT! You can collect goodies along special treat trails throughout the park. They will have Halloween-inspired music, fun decor, and Villains! Plus, you may even spot more familiar faces! Personally, this is where I like to make my money back! Hit the treat trails FREQUENTLY and load up!

Speaking of familiar faces, get ready to meet some of your favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween costumes! And grab a photo or six to remember it!

We love a parade, and the Frightfully Fun Parade, while not NEARLY as great as the Boo To You Parade, is certainly no exception! You won’t want to miss this, as well as the bats that fly around the bell tower at Carthay Circle! Frightful fun for everyone!

Mickey and Friends headline this live show, telling not-so-scary Halloween tales, in Mickey’s Trick and Treat! And finally, head to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and explore Villain’s Grove!!!!!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party will return in 2022! I always hated Halloween before I celebrated Halloween at Disney, and now, it’s my FAVORITE event! The party will run on 37 nights beginning August 12 through October 31, 2022. Tickets will range from $109-$199, and will go on sale to the public on May 18. Do you already have a reservation during this time frame? GUESS WHAT?! Your tickets go on sale on May 12! Don’t miss out! This event is awesome and, as it was missing last year, it’s sure to sell out quickly this year!

Across the pond, they have announced dates not only for Halloween but also Christmas!! The Halloween Festival will run from October 1-November 6, with their Disney Halloween Parties on October 29 and 31. Then, Disney Enchanted Christmas will run from November 12-January 8! And not to be missed, join Disneyland Paris on December 31 for their New Year’s Eve Party!

And lastly, join one of the Halloween on the High Seas Sailings for a spooky voyage at sea! First off, an all-new character meet and greet! Meet Clarabelle Cow, Minnie Mouse, and Daisy Duck as they dress up as the Sanderson Sisters! HOW ADORABLE!!!

The ship atriums will feature enchanted pumpkin trees with a spooky twist, while “Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party” brings back a fun-filled costume party for all to enjoy!

“The first-ever Disney Junior Fun Fest, a one-day event celebrating the entertaining and music-filled stories of the #1 preschool television network’s hit series, will bring the magic straight to fans at Disney California Adventure Park from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. PT, Friday, April 29, 2022.

The one-day event will include sneak peeks at upcoming Disney Junior series, special announcements, surprise appearances, a “Doc McStuffins” stage show highlighting 10 years of the beloved series, plus the “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party,” a hands-on cupcake decorating course inspired by the new Disney Junior series. This fun “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party” experience for junior chefs is also being offered throughout Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival March 4 – April 26.

It all kicks off in the morning with a cavalcade of beloved Disney Junior characters welcoming fans and making their way through the park. Throughout the day, there will be main stage attractions with fun games, trivia and music to keep preschoolers and their families singing and dancing together. BREAKING NEWS from Disneyland! We have been waiting for the Disneyland Nighttime Spectaculars to return. Well, WAIT NO LONGER! Disney announced the return dates today! It’s time to plan those vacations!

Main St Electrical Parade

Beginning Friday, April 22, 2022, this spectacular pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds will once again roll down Main St USA! And this will be the 50th Anniversary of the Main St Electrical Parade! To celebrate this milestone, the nighttime spectacular will return with an all-new enchanted finale featuring new characters and celebrating the theme of togetherness.  The new grand finale brings to life more than a dozen Disney Animation and Pixar stories.

See these new stories in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sound, with unique representations of beloved characters as animated dolls. Some of the movies added include “Encanto,” “The Jungle Book,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog” and more.

From the Blue Fairy to a colorful, unique representation of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the grand finale of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” comprises seven segments stretching 118 feet in length, making it one of the longest and grandest units in the parade’s 50-year history.

First thing’s first, Alice’s Wonderland Bakery is a new tv series on Disney Junior. It features Alice, the great-granddaughter of THE Alice, and her friends, Fergie, the white rabbit, Hattie, and Rosa, the Princess of Hearts.

Alice is a young baker who works at the Wonderland Bakery. So Junior Bakers, head to the Hollywood Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land, and take part in special baking demonstrations and decorating with special guest chefs!

Who doesn’t love characters? Head to the Hollywood Backlot where you can catch Chef Goofy!

Great news for those of us who love to eat! Disney has announced a bunch of restaurants’ opening dates across several properties. Let’s check it out!!

First up, let’s head to Disneyland in California! Oga’s Cantina will be returning to action at Galaxy’s Edge beginning JUNE 17. You will be able to start booking your reservations on JUNE 14.

BRIGHT SUNS!

You can also start booking reservations at Wine Country Trattoria. The restaurant will open JUNE 17, with reservations, again, opening up on JUNE 14.

You can also book your brunch at Lamplight Lounge, which will open on JULY 9, beginning JUNE 14.

Here are a few more Disneyland Park openings and offerings:

  • Tiki Juice Bar (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
  • Docking Bay Food & Cargo (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
  • Alien Pizza Planet (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
  • Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante – Opening June 17
  • Candy Palace – Currently making Nuttles (chopped pecan pieces layered with freshly made caramel with a dollop of milk chocolate on top) on Mondays and Fridays
  • Candy Palace – Currently making Rocky Road (mix of milk chocolate, chopped almonds, and house-made marshmallows in a small pie tin) on Saturdays

Now for Walt Disney World, you will once again be able to head to Caribbean Beach Resort, conveniently located on the Skyliner Route, to dine at Sebastian’s Bistro. It will be opening June 24 with nightly walk-in availability through July 4; booking available June 10 for reservations starting July 5. There will be a brand new family-style meal available for dinner.

Sebastian’s signature buttery house-baked pull-apart rolls will get Guests started, and the entire table will enjoy the Taste of the Caribbean platter featuring oven-roasted citrus chicken, slow-cooked mojo pork with mango sambal, and grilled flank steak with mojito relish. This hearty platter comes with sides of cilantro rice and beans, vegetable curry, and grilled broccolini. Coconut shrimp can also be ordered as an add-on to the meal. The best part? Guests finish with the ultimate sweet treat – the popular coconut-pineapple bread pudding!

And finally, in what I consider the BEST NEWS EVER, ‘Ohana will be returning JULY 9, serving breakfast and dinner. Reservations will be open starting June 10. Characters will not be available for breakfast, but a roaming musician will be around for guests’ delights at dinner.

Breakfast will feature that famous, to-die-for pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, followed by Mickey and Stitch waffles, and the breakfast skillet, featuring eggs, ham, potatoes, and sausage. And there had better be some Stitch juice available!!

Dinner will be a little bit different, but don’t worry, the bread pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream is back! You can have all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets with grilled steak, roasted chicken, sausage, and shrimp casserole, served alongside fried rice and broccolini. Also returning: pot stickers and crispy soy chicken wings. I, for one, cannot wait to book BOTH of these meals!

THINGS ARE HAPPENING!!! Now is a GREAT time to reserve a vacation package! Things are starting to open up all over Disney Destinations. Let’s talk about them, shall we?

Starting at the very beginning, Walt Disney World will begin it’s 18-month long 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 1, 2021. Contact me today to book YOUR trip! Things you can experience by booking in October and early November include the 50th Anniversary, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (opening in EPCOT on October 1), EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival (July 15-November 20, 2021 at EPCOT World Showcase), Disney’s After Hours Event Boo Bash (beginning August 10, 2021 through Halloween night in Magic Kingdom), and more! It’s going to be an amazing time to visit, but don’t delay! Resort rooms and Park Reservations are filling up fast!

Speaking of the Boo Bash, beginning August 10 and running for 23 select nights through October 31, you can attend this hard ticket event at the Magic Kingdom!

The party will run from 9:00 pm until midnight, with access to the Magic Kingdom beginning at 7:00 pm. This event will require a separate ticket and an extra expense, but attendance will be even more limited than the already limited attendance. The event will also include complimentary ice cream novelties, beverages, and popcorn, as well as trick or treat candy (as much as you can carry!!), which is all included in the ticket price.

As is usual with Disney’s hard ticket events, there will also be special treats for sale, including this Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake! Doesn’t that look ghoulishly delicious?! You will also be able to try an Apple Ginger Dale frozen drink (it will be frozen apple cider mixed with ginger ale and topped with whipped cream). Other treats will be announced as the party approaches, so stay tuned!!!!

Stop by the Haunted Mansion to hear the lovely Miss Carlotta’s tales as she floats on the lawn. Find Goofy and Chip ‘n Dale dressed in their Halloween best, and more characters popping up all over the place. And don’t forget about the Cadaver Dans in their return (from the dead) performance!!

Keeping with the current character cavalcade trends, special cavalcades will pop up throughout the night. “Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade,” with Mickey Mouse and friends dressed up for the occasion; the “Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade,” where villains will take to the street and remind us it’s good to be bad; “Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade” will feature Jack Skellington, Sally, and the big booger himself, Oogie Boogie, riding down the path to “This Is Halloween.” And the piece de resistance: Maleficent will also make an appearance in the form of a fire-breathing dragon.

Big dining news over at Animal Kingdom, we finally have a reopening date for Tusker House. The restaurant will once again be taking in diners on June 20, and reservations open on June 4, 2021!! This former buffet will now feature a family-style menu featuring African-inspired flavors. Donald Duck and his friends will also be returning as your hosts!!! Who’s excited for Tusker House to return??!?!?!?

Disneyland

Out west, BIG NEWS for non-California Residents: Disneyland will be open to ALL beginning June 15, 2021. Want to go to Disneyland? I can help you out!! Contact me today! The Grand California Resort is currently open, with Paradise Pier reopening June 15, and The Disneyland Hotel reopening July 2. Again, all visitors over age 3 will require both a park admission ticket and a park reservation to enter.

TONIGHT, hop over to the Disney Parks Blog at 8:15 pm PT/ 11:15 pm ET to watch the dedication of the Avengers campus, that is all decked out and set to officially open June 4!!!
